Time just doesn't stand still, does it? :-) I did finish some things while I was absent~
This is about my dozenth or more flannel/denim raggy quilt. The pattern I started with came from an old issue of Traditional Quilts magazine, but I have altered it a bit over the years. I don't have the magazine anymore, but the pattern is stuck in my head forever. LOL This is for a friend's DD for graduation. Aubrey loves brights, so I hope I hit the nail on the head. :-)
The front~
The back~
And I always embroider a square with the date. Her older brothers got the same quilts for their graduations and her Mom told me she has been hoping I would make one for her too. LOL
I also worked on some potholders for my Christmas Through the Year box~
First I made the green one using this tutorial~ Quilted Mitt Pot Holder
I put an extra layer of Warm and Natural in with the Insulated batting to give it a little more 'cush'. :-) Then I got to thinking about the denim pieces I had left from the quilt and thought the pocket would work great for a pot holder. So I came up with the other one.
Now I am thinking the denim one would also make a great Father's Day gift with some new tools for the grill... so that one may not make it until Christmas! LOL
Please go HERE to see some more wonderful CTTY projects and be inspired! ;-)
I hope you are finding time to sew too.
Until next time~
Happy Stitchin'!

Recycling~
Denim! :-) I got all the pieces cut for the denim/flannel raggy quilt that I need to get busy on because it is a graduation gift. :-o
I always use the same pattern, originally published in Traditional Quiltworks magazine (yeah, a very long time ago, because that magazine has been out of business for years). Anyway, I had my hot little hands on it just a few days ago and today I can't find it! I've searched and wondered what 'safe' place it is in~ sheesh! Good thing I know it by heart. LOL I'm sure it will turn up, but I hate days like this!!
This morning I kept my nose to my machine and finished my new purse. :-) I love this pattern! If you are just dropping by, it is Amy Butler's 'Sweet Harmony'. I can see more in my future. ;-)
The inside has a large zippered pocket and 2 open ones. And did you notice the little cell phone pocket inside the big pocket on the outside? Yup, love it! :-)
I'm off to look for that magazine~ send some luck!
Until next time~
