Odd's and End's

LOL How is that for a title? Today is Thimbleberries Day! Unfortunately~ I won't be sewing with y'all, I'll be painting. ;-) Please be sure to let me know if you are sewing, and I'll stop by tonight. :-)

This is a photo of the hardwood floor in the kitchen. It is also in the entry. We had them refinished and I love them! It is red oak. Now we are thinking maybe we should do the whole family room before we move! LOL :-)
And this is the kitchen~ it was hot so I rigged up an old drape in the sky light while we were priming in there. ;-) This is my 'before' photo. I can hardly wait to get the painting done for the after! :-))

These are in the cottage~ good work going on in there! :-)

If you haven't already signed up for my giveaway~ be sure to check it out below. I am just loving coming home at night and finding your comments! Thank you!! And speaking of giveaways... :-) My Mom is having one too~ drop in on her soon! Good luck! :-)

Until next time~
Happy stitchin'... or in my case.. painting! LOL

It looks fabulous! Those shylights can get so warm. I have three in my kitchen and I had shutters made for them so I can angle some of the light out in the summer. It works soooo well and made such a difference in the house temperature.

Just look at all that light in the kitchen. I love it. I remember my kitchen (before) had one old fashioned window (long and narrow). Now it has a large, 4x6, with a counter under it! Hubby gave me a bad time when I said that is what I wanted. Guess where we do all our chopping and preparing things. Yes, even him. Kitchen was always dark and I hate dark rooms, well except for the bedroom!!

Everything is looking good!!!

Great choice for the floors, love the stain you selected. I'm green with envy over your quilt cottage, how perfect is that!

Good Luck with the remaining tasks on your list.

Who knew that having a Halloween Hop last week would bring the chilly weather?! We had rain, wind--- the power even went out for a few hours...
