A Few More Photo's~

Thank you all for your well wishes on our new home! I am really looking forward to getting settled and having 'a place for everything'! We have a bit of work to do before we move though, that is why my CGQC goals are about stripping (wallpaper!) ;-) and painting. We also hired someone to refinish the hardwood floors in the kitchen and entry. Hopefully that work can start next week. ;-)
This is the back of the house~
We love the covered patio! It has 2 skylights and the opposite side is open to the yard. It will be perfect for enjoying an iced tea. :-) Or relaxing with a good book. :-)

If you stand at the front door and look to the drive, this is what you will see. We have a small winding private drive with lots of flowering shrubs along it. Looks like I need to do some pruning soon. LOL :-)

Come on it the front door!~ we'll look around a bit inside next time. ;-)

Have a great evening!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!~sorry I've not been over to visit lately. Not on the computer much, as I'm quilting ...

The best way I've found to remove wallpaper was with fabric softener. I'm trying to remember how I did it. I think I put it on a wet sponge or dipped the sponge in the softener w/a little water in it and put it on the walls, then let it sit a few minutes and then it peeled off. Used a scraper also, but be careful to not dig into the sheetrock. Just keep putting more wet solution.
THis is a lovely home!!!! Happy for you.

I look forward to the "walkabout". How exciting Sandie. I'm truly happy for you. I could see the pleasure in your face when you shared your secret with me at Sisters.

Blessings.

Who knew that having a Halloween Hop last week would bring the chilly weather?! We had rain, wind--- the power even went out for a few hours...
