But I know the work is going to be so worth it! DH and I have removed all the wall paper from the family room, bathroom and kitchen. Whoohoo!! Today we were going to scrub down the walls to get ready for priming and ...yuk! The bathroom washed up great. The family room? No matter how much, hard, or often we scrubbed, it still felt sticky. :-/ We tried everything we had along with us and were not happy... and hubby wore a hole in his cloth. So we called it a day and came home. We'll try again tomorrow.

This is the family room. The kitchen is behind me with a nice big counter separating the two areas. Out the door and you are in the backyard patio. I didn't take a photo of the kitchen today because we had someone refinishing the floors and didn't think he wanted to be on my blog. LOL
These are the before shots of inside the cottage. They had the desk and cabinets built in. I'm keeping those. They also had a wall of shelves... many were stained and spotted. They got removed today. :-) I'll have 'after' photo's next week. :-) Sorry the lighting is bad in this one~ but did you notice the sky light? :-)

That's all for now~ Sew a seam for me! I miss my machine! :-)

Oh my gosh you are really working hard. But all that new space must be getting your creative juices flowing. I'm envious. Remember Aleeve or Advil...for those days we over do it. So we can go and overdo it Again!! (that's how I think of it anyway)
Just imagine after all the hard work is over how much fun it will be just to sit and relax in the surroundings of your new place!
Don't overdo it--please take time to rest and enjoy the journey!! Have you thought about colors for your cottage? I wouldn't be able to wait to redo that one!!! Take care
cbq... it looks like a fantastic place.. and i LOVE your quilt cottage.. woman you have much more ambition than i do lately!.. you've already got a ton done on it!.. take care you don't over do it... and enjoy the process!..
shey..
Can't wait to see all your fabric on those shelves. Very nice cottage.
I love your new house!!!! This is the first blog I have come on in a long time..... and this is a great post to come on to!!! I am very happy for you!! ((hugs))
This is going to be beautiful!
Love the skylight.
Thank you for entering my GC giveaway! I really appreciate it sweet friend.
Blessings, ~Melissa :)
There's the QC!!! Love it! Looks like a fairly good sized space for you S!! Couldn't you have made good use of those shelves with a good coat of paint first? Great storage for quilt-room goodies!
The sticky walls... would vinegar work to clean it off? They must have something they could recommend at the paint shop...
Remember to take time for a cup of tea... 8-)
Oh I am so excited for you!!!
wow! sounds like you've had a lot happening since I last visited. I've been too busy to blog hop lately... but wow! I'm so excited for you and your new home and SEWING COTTAGE! Lucky dog you! ;) I just know you will have it decorated so cute ;)
at first I thought - I can't believe you are getting rid of those built in shelves... but I guess since you have the cabinets then you don't need both... you will need a design wall though ;)
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
