Design Wall Monday~

I'm a little slow in posting this morning, but I am still here! :-) Be sure to go check out all the wonderful design walls in blogland from Judy L's blog! :-) The inspiration is just what I needed on this Monday morning! ;-)

Today I have the Fig Tree Club blocks, Cobble Stones, on my floor ~ um, I mean design wall. ;-) I am determined to get this top together so I can go quilting! :-)

I'll be working on the sashings until Wednesday, when it will be time to pull out the Thimbleberries for a little fun! Come and join us!

January Schnibble~

Thanks in big part to yesterday's Valentine's Sewing Party hosted by Kelly & Joan, I finished my January Schnibble~ Madeline! :-) Whoohoo! :-)) The quilting is going to wait until I go to the LQS to rent the longarm again. Then I am thinking about doing all over swirls and hearts. I make much better hearts on the LA than I can do with my home sewing machine. ;-) LOL

This weekend has gone fast! Tomorrow I will have something for the design wall. ;-) See you then~

Happy Stitchin'!

Sewing Party 3

I sewed the first star block to the outer triangles without mixing up the triangles any, so rather than rip ;-) I just did them all that way. :-)) I don't have the borders cut, so I guess I will stop for now, finish up laundry, think about dinner etc. ;-) Hopefully I can get the borders on before the weekend is over.

Thanks Kelly & Joan for a fun day of sewing. And if you want to see lots of Valentine's sewing inspiration~ check out the list on Kelly's blog!

Until next time~ Happy Stitchin'!!

Valentine's Sewing Party Continues~

My 'hearts' turned into geese! :-) I am working on my 'Madeline' Schnibble quilt today for the Year of Schnibbles group. I was going to come back and add the photo to the previous post, but I got carried away and sewed a few blocks! :-o Sorry. Do you have a 'Cotton Picker'? I got mine from a friend in one of my swaps last year and I love it! It really gets the fuzz out of my mat when I am trimming things up.
I think this is my favorite Schnibble so far~ y'all know I'm crazy, but did you know I am crazy'bout stars too? I am! :-))

I have put a loaf of bread in the bread machine, the laundry is going and I think I've been up/down the stairs a dozen times! It's time for a mini break to watch a few quilting programs. ;-) My TV is no where near my machine, so I'll get back to the rest of the stars soon!

Valentine Sewing Party!

Today is the day for the Charming Girls Quilt Club Valentine's Sewing Party! Whoohoo!

And look~ I've got little 'hearts' ready for trimming! :-)
More soon!~~ ;-)

~Sewing~Sewing~Sewing~

I love to sew! The Fig Tree blocks are coming along and all the pinwheels are together! :-) I don't really have a plan for them yet, but I will! :-) All the cutting, trimming etc is finally looking like something. ;-) Am I impatient? No~ just anxious to get thru the mindless parts to get to the fun stuff! ;-) LOL Here is a photo of all the pinwheels and the blocks~ ready to start making the sashings. :-)

Thank you for your interest in our Thimbleberries Sew Day! I am really looking forward to playing in my Thimbleberries fabrics! Oh, I know I could play in them any day, but to be playing with my blogging friends will be so much more fun! :-) Just to clarify~ you don't have to finish anything on Wednesday. We don't have any deadlines or anything. Just make a post on that day and let us know what you are working on~ show us your Thimbleberries love! :-) And then be sure to come back and tell one of us that you posted so you will be in the little giveaway. ;-)

Tomorrow is the Valentine's Sewing Party, so I'll be back then!
Happy Stitchin'!

~A Thimbleberries Sew Day!~

Do you love Thimbleberries fabrics? patterns? Have some projects that need finishing? Or something you haven't started but want to work on? ;-) Barb of Bejeweled Quilts By Barb & I discovered we are both Thimbleberries fans and after some fast and furious emails (mostly furious on my part~ I am so excited! :-o LOL), we are going to have Thimbleberries Sew Days! Whoohoo! :-)

We have decided to launch our fun on next Wednesday, January 27th. And we are going to designate the last Wednesday of every month for working on our Thimbleberries projects. :-) Won't you join us? Just pull out one of your projects and tell us, on your blog, what you will be working on. Leave either of us a comment on our announcement post (Barb will be making her announcement soon too) , so we know to come and see ya. ;-) There are no quilt police~ it does not have to be a 100% Thimbleberries project, as long as you are using either a Thimbleberries pattern, or Thimbleberries fabrics, you are fine. :-) If you absolutely can't sew on Wednesday, tell us what you have to work on, give us up-dates and you will still be part of the fun. ;-) Our goal is to do some of our projects and have some fun along the way.

~~For the fine print~ neither of us work for the Thimbleberries company. Our fun is totally independent of the actual Thimbleberries company. We don't represent them in any way. I have emailed Lynette Jensen and she knows what our Sew Days are all about. We just want to have some fun and get some projects finished up. ~~ ;-)

Oh and one last little note~ my first project is going to involve using Thimbleberries fabric to make something I am then going to giveaway to a participant in our first Sew Day.. :-) I guess you will have to stay tuned for that! :-)))

Who knew that having a Halloween Hop last week would bring the chilly weather?! We had rain, wind--- the power even went out for a few hours...
