Shirt Play~

Yes, you read that right! I have been playing in recycled men's shirts! LOL I have had a small collection going for some time, always dreaming of the day I could make some manly quilts for my DS's.  My friend, Bonnie helped my little collection grow quite a bit when she shared sleeves from her collection. ~thanks Bonnie!  :-)  And I've been doing a bit of shopping.  Finally I feel like I have a big enough variety to play! :-) Bonnie and I are going to do a block exchange from Bonnie Hunter's second book. So I decided I'd made plenty of HST's and it was time to try a few blocks! :-)

I am loving how all the plaids and strips are playing together!  :-)

And since I had my shirts on my mind, I decided this month's Schnibble project~ Doc~ would also be neat out of them. ;-)

Yep, I see I have one HST misplaced! ;-)

Hope you are enjoying a little play time too! :-)
Until next time~
Happy stitchin'!

Shirts are just so fun to play with. I have a box that will be my 'fall' fun.

I have resisted the temptation to collect men's shirts for quilt fabric but you are putting the temptation back.

The fabrics look great together and will make a wonderful quilt. I like the project on the previous post as well. Nice!

Who knew that having a Halloween Hop last week would bring the chilly weather?! We had rain, wind--- the power even went out for a few hours...
