Although my sewing machine isn't running, I am keeping busy! I have been cutting! :-) And cutting, and cutting.... lol, I think I needed a break! :-)) My little get-away is coming up fast and I needed to cut out the things I want to work on. It is a working weekend get-away. ;-) I cut up a bunch of sets of the blocks I am exchanging with a friend in my former guild, and a bunch that I am swapping with Bingo~Bonnie.
Both blocks have HST's in them, so I also printed off a bunch of Triangulations papers. (That's the link in case you aren't familiar with the Triangulations~ it is my favorite way to make HST's! ;-)) I can hardly wait to start sewing!! :-))

And I need to cut out a flannel/denim raggy quilt for an upcoming graduation! :-o I think I'd better put a new blade on my shopping list! :-)
Until next time~
Happy stitchin'!

It isn't funny that your machine isn't working but I do think it's funny that both yours and mine went on strike at the same time... not only do we have minds that think alike but so do our machines!
It's scarry when you stop and think about it... but a few off the top of my head...
DMC floss boxes stared at the same time,
preparing to make the Miranda Bag at the same time,
going on retreats within a week of each other,
we unknowingly mailed each other's blocks to each other during the same week...
we're both addicted to mini 9 patches, 1930s and string blocks...and hosting swaps! although YOU'RE the hostaholic ;) LOL
If I didn't know better I'd say we were seperated at birth! ;) LOL
Talk to you soon..
oh and when you leave a comment over on my blog, I can't simply hit the reply to you - you need to change your settings to that your emial is set up so I can jsut simply hit reply... although I don't mind coming here to talk to you either ;) but other bloggers may wnat to reply to you.
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
Question about the triangulations: I know it makes any size, but do you use the Paper piecing paper for it??? And when you use it, when iroing, does the blk ink bleed??? I have a couple pattern that are going to be asking for HST and I want to be ready when I attack them!! I have no problem just making triangles, but if it's quicker to use paper - I just might do that route.
You are going to have fun on your working weekend, and I am glad you have gotten all cut up and ready to go!! Remember, extra needles, wind those bobbins, and bring extra thread!! Do you use a cone to sew with?? I saw that at a class and now use that to. That cone lasts a long time!!! love it!!!
Okay, I am off to read blogs!!!!
Cutting up a storm! Good for you! When one area of the sewing room isn't working, there is always another to dive into! 8-)
Happy cuttings...
