A Tale of Two Toppers~

Happy Sunday!

I hope you are enjoying a little sunshine where you are~ it is a gorgeous day

here.. 66º, sun, no wind. I think I may have to fire up the grill tonight. :-)

I love the ten minute table runners, and even more I like the mini ones~

It not only works perfectly for our entry, but they can pretty up the bathroom too. ;-)

~A Little More of that Secret Sewing~

A while back Jennie & Clara of Clover & Violet asked me to

do a little stunt sewing for them.  :-)

Oh fun!!!

The only problem was, once I finished the projects~ I wanted to keep them! :-o

Ok, let me back up a minute....

Blend Fabrics asked them to make a few things for their booth

at the up-coming Quilt Market. :-) I can't stop smiling!

And they asked me~me!~ to help sew.

Ah, pinch me now!  :-)

I am so excited just to know that something I have stitched will be at the Spring Quilt Market!!

I made the Stella Diaper Bag (pattern by Clover & Violet)

out of Blown Away by  designer - Josephine Kimberling

I love this fabric~ the hot air balloons and shower clouds are so fun!

I really wanted to keep this one! LOL

I've Decided~

...to start truncating my blog.  I just did it to the previous two posts and it

is really easy to do!

Just do a Google search and you will find lots of tutorials. ;-)

And since it isn't a post without a photo~

I made this for a friend~ It is from the free block pages of  Fat Cat Patterns.

It was fun and easy!

This post is too short to bother with truncating. ;-)

Until next time~

Happy Stitchin'!!

~Another Little Secret is Out~

A few months ago~ goodness how time flies!~ anyway,

Sue from Quilt Times was looking for a little help to test a few new patterns she was working on.

Since I love that particular challenge :-) I volunteered to help.

Odds 'n Ends

Just a little catch up post today. :-)

I have been sewing and will soon have more to show.  ;-)

I made another bird seed bag~ this one for a friend. I love these

bags! They are great for toting things to the PO, the car, etc.

Sturdy and fun. :-)

Love the cardinal! :-)

String Block Fun~

I recently hosted a string block swap with the quilters on

the HGTV message board. Each participant got to choose the color of their center string, and what

color/colors they wanted the other strings in the blocks.

This is such a fun swap! I just love seeing all the colors everyone chooses~

Aren't they fun?!!

Two of the swappers chose 'polka dots' for their 'colors'. :-)

And they got lots of dots!

I went for a pieced center string and brights for the other string~

I love my blocks!!

This isn't the final layout~ I have to play with them and make a few more.  :-)

This is going to be the perfect snuggle quilt for those dreary winter days. LOL

Don't forget to hop over to kati cupcake and leave a comment for a chance to win a FQ bundle or one of her new patterns!

Tell her I sent you, and if you win because of me~ I'll send you a little surprise too!  :-)

Until next time~

Happy Quilting!!

~Hello~

Happy Spring!

I hope you've had a little sunshine in your life today. :-)

I want to tell you one of the reasons I've been kind of MIA here.

I was pattern testing for Kati Cupcake! :-)

I love to pattern test.

It gives me a chance to put my math skills and beany brain to work. :-)

I know, I love math! And that does make me a little nerdy, but I'm

ok with that. LOL

Anyway I had the pleasure of testing 'Sew Edgy'~

~photo borrowed from kati cupcake blog~

And this is my version...

Of course, it was a rainy day, so the inside photo will have to do for now.

I didn't get it quilted yet. I was waiting for backing, and now I'm waiting for a thread order. :-)

When my DD spied this quilt she asked if I could gift it to her boyfriend for Christmas! LOL

My kids are always putting dibs on my sewing projects. :-)

I wanted to post to tell you to run over to Amy's blog~ kati cupcake and look at all her new patterns. And be sure to leave a comment as she is having a giveaway! ~I hope I am not too late, I'm not sure when she is doing her drawing. Tell her I sent you. :-)

Have a happy weekend!
