It's been nearly a week since my last post! :-o I don't know where the days went~ seems like they just flew by!! We are still dealing with painters and contractors. Ugh. What should have been simple jobs, turn into complicated matters. :-/ And the weather hasn't been particularly cooperative either. It was 55ยบ this morning! But I will take cool days over the heat the rest of the country is suffering any day! The painting will get done eventually~ they want to get paid right? :-) And I love the cool days! Perfect for quilting. ;-)
I've had my machine working too! :-) I recently came across a blog (and sorry, I don't remember who!) asking if we had quilts in our kitchens... good question! Do you? I have placemats, table runners, and even a couple hot pads~ but no quilt! :-o I took the Le Petite project for this month~ 'George' by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co~ to rectify that oversight! :-)) My George is smaller than the pattern, but I needed it to fit in my kitchen. ;-) I had a couple fat quarters of the fabrics, so I went with what I had. It was fun trying to make it all work! :-) And I am very happy to have a kitchen quilt! Do you think it needs another border? I only have scraps left of the FQ's~ maybe enough for a strippy border... ?
I also worked on Step One of the Crafty Unicorn Quilts Summer Scrap Basket mystery quilt along. 96 HST's. I love using Triangulations to get those babies whipped out! Fast and precise. :-)
Today I will be sewing my Simple Things Quilt Along top together, so come back soon! I promise I'll be back before the week is out! ;-)
Have a happy day!

Luck and Gratitude
I had a really lucky June! And I've been pinching myself! First Darlene at Quilting Daze had a wonderful anniversary party and I went home with this lovely treat!~ Well, ok, she mailed it to me. But I won! I love it! :-) I've been 'testing' it all over the house and driving DH crazy. :-) I don't have any walls in the cottage to hang it there (cabinets, shelves, design wall, windows), and besides, I want it in the house~ where I can see it every day! :-) Thank you Darlene! :-)
Then Kelly announced the end of the Charming Girls Club and the winners of her last drawing~ yup, you guessed it~ I was one of the lucky winners! Kelly was giving a gift certificate to her shop, Cotton Charm Quilts. I asked her to surprise me because I adore everything in her shop. lol And look what she sent~ this fantastic placemat pattern and 2 gorgeous charm packs! Perfect! :-) Thank you Kelly! :-)
Ok, then I was struck by lightning! No, not really. ;-) I was drawn from Sherrie's parade of Le Petite projects to receive a package from Carrie from Miss Rosie's Quilt Co.~~ and wow! :-o Not one, but two Layer Cakes arrived in the mail!! :-)) Thank you so much Carrie! And Sinta for sending them. ;-)
I was sooo excited by all the fantastic mail that I had to settle myself down and do some sewing. :-) It calms me~ does it do that to you? I finished up Step 2 in the Quiltmaker mystery by Debbie Caffrey.
And speaking of mysteries... Brenda found this one at The Crafty Unicorn, and I think I am up for it! Would you like to join us?? :-))
That's all for today~
Happy Stitchin'!!

Thank you Winners~
You are all winners and I wish I could give you all prizes! But that's not possible, so without further ado~
First name the random generator picked was Laura from Quilting Fun. Laura chose the vintage sheets. :-)
The second winner is Shannon at Nunu's Quilt World. Shannon chose the Understudy pattern and the summery fabrics. :-)
And the final number the generator chose was Sunny at Quilting Dreams. And boy is that random number generator thingy smart because Sunny had said she's like the hydrangea's and second pattern! :-)
I wish I could've copied it so you could see! But you will have to trust me, no monkey business here. :-)
Congratulations ladies! And thank you for following me! :-)
Thank you all for following me! I'll be having another little giveaway soon~ I didn't realize so many of you were interested in the sheets. So once the painters are finished on our house, I'll need to celebrate with a little vintage sheet goodness. ;-)
Until next time~
Happy Stitching!!

...sewing, sewing, sewing....
I have had a great day at the machine! :-) All of my blocks are finished for the Simple Things Quilt Along, including the border blocks! I can hardly wait for next week to get it all together! :-) Thanks Kelly and Carol for all the fun!
I just have to show you my petunias....
I have never had good luck growing wave petunias, but it doesn't stop me from buying a couple every year and putting them in pots. (I'm persistent!) This year~ finally~ they are doing really well! So well that I had to tie a string to the Shepard's pole to keep them up right! lol I guess even a black thumb gardener gets lucky once in a while. :-))
If you haven't visited my previous post, please do! Thank you for your friendship!
Have a great weekend!

Thank you!
...for visiting, commenting and ala Golden Girls 'being a friend'!! :-)
I have a little fun for you~ :-)
Do you like making quick table toppers?
Which pattern do you like better? Sorry, they are a little fuzzy. In real life they aren't~ I guess my camera isn't in focus. :-/
Which fabric set would you choose?
Half yards of summery fabrics or half yds of lilacs and hydrangeas?
Or would you rather have 4 FQ's of these vintage sheets?
Yup! Its giveaway time! My blogiversary is in December, and I never remember until it is too late, so this is my half-blogiversary giveaway. :-) Do you have a holiday birthday? My youngest DS does and when he was small he hated it because most of our family would combine his b-day and Christmas gift in one mailing. One year he wanted a summer party, so we had a half-birthday party. It was great fun! ;-)
So leave me a comment telling me which pattern/fabric combo you would like to win, or if you'd like the vintage sheets. I'll choose 3 winners on Monday, the first name I draw will get the pattern/fabric or sheet FQ's of her choice, the next person drawn will get the other pattern/fabric or sheets, and number 3 will get what ever is left. :-) If you definitely do not want something, let me know that too. lol Just one comment though. I will mail anywhere, but this giveaway is specifically for my followers (you can be one too!) ~ thank you for following me, for taking the time to comment, and for your friendship! :-)
Until next time~

Sewing Along
I finished Step 4 for the Simple Things Quilt Along. I am really lovin' the vintage sheets! The next step will be putting it all together, on Thursday~ tomorrow! :-o Does this week seem to be going too fast for you too? LOL If it isn't that, then I am getting too slow~ and I don't think I am. LOL :-)
Hope you are having a great week!
I'll be back soon~ ;-)
