Busy Times...

Call for drastic measures! :-)
Are you making gifts for Christmas?  Every year I tell myself I will start earlier, but it never happens!
And just to keep things really busy, LOL, I also had a swap
that was due last week.  ;-)

We made string blocks. I had 17 swappers, and the color choices were
all fabulous! It makes me want to do 17 more swaps so I can request every one else's
color schemes! :-o  But I won't... at least I don't think I will. ;-)
I need to work on my Christmas gifts!! :-)

I had the great idea to lay out each swappers blocks and take a few photo's~
well, sigh, that did not happen. :-o
But I can share a photo of my blocks!  I asked for Shabby Chic-like
blocks and am thrilled with the array of blocks I received. These will be at the top of next year's list to get sewn together and quilted! :-)

I hope you are having some quilty fun too!
Until next time~
Happy stitchin'!

If it weren't for yet another move etc. I too, would be in a panic on gifts because I didn't get to them earlier. Now my excuse is the above and DHs surgery. We aren't even getting a tree up as it is just too much with all else. So...bad blog friend failure this year for many.

Very pretty string blocks! I love seeing shabby chic quilts (so soft and feminine) although I don't usually make them myself.

Very pretty string blocks. I have a set going using red center strings, but it will probably take me all year to make enough for a quilt. Good leader and ender project.

I'm hoping for some quilty fun today - but first I need to clean and restore order to my basement guest bedroom so it is in good shape for next weekend.

If I start now, I might actually get done for next year, lol. I like the idea of string blocks and using up scraps, yours is coming out beautifully.

Very pretty string blocks. I say the same thing, why can't I start making gifts earlier in the year? I'm starting on potholders now, I bought the stuff 2 months ago. Someone must have the answer?

Who knew that having a Halloween Hop last week would bring the chilly weather?! We had rain, wind--- the power even went out for a few hours...
