A Little Fun~

Last week was my birthday~ another year older, more projects to do. LOL I met at friend at the Sewing and Quilting Festival for a day of shopping fun! Oh yeah~ we had some fun!! :-)  I went to this particular festival last year and noticed it had wool vendors, and hand embroidery vendors, and lots and lots of quilting vendors. BUT, I was looking for wool! And I went to the right place. :-) One vendor had these cute stuffed carrots~ and look at all the wool scraps I got out of one!  I love it!  Lots of bits and pieces for those fun little projects. :-)

I took my newest tote~ 'That's How We Roll' by Kati Cupcake and it worked out perfectly! :-) The tote is made with a jelly roll and a little extra fabric. It has some wonderfully big pockets inside. And the handles were very comfy on my shoulder.  I had bits left from two of Sandy Gervais's Awesome and Grand Finale jelly rolls and I love how they look together.  This is the perfect tote for shopping! Or if you have a lot of things to take along on a trip~ magazines, your laptop, they would all fit.  :-)

I hope you've been having a little fun too.
Until next time~
Happy quilting!

I was trying to figure out how you got a variety of scraps out of a stuffed carrot. Looking at the picture, I finally understood that the carrot shape was the packaging. Nice idea. I purchased a bag of wool scraps at a quilt shop. All I could stuff in the bag.

Your tote came out beautifully, nicely done. I would love to do some for presents, maybe I will get some time before the holidays.

Very cute tote! I made some Thanksgiving table mats with the same fabric and love the prints in it. And Happy Birthday as well!

Awesome tote! As you know I don't like doing bag but that is one that could make me reconsider.

That looks like the perfect bag for a carry-on when I fly. The colors are really beautiful - love the way it looks.

Really like that tote bag! Fund way to sell scraps! We do not have any local shops carrying any wool. So it is order online, wait for Feb quilt show or pop into a wonderful shop when we go down to NC. I do the thrift store shopping also for the skirts.

Who knew that having a Halloween Hop last week would bring the chilly weather?! We had rain, wind--- the power even went out for a few hours...
