Sewing and Stress!

Wow! Barb's poll for the GO has really stressed me! :-o I'm ahead, I'm behind, ahead again, behind again! I'm almost afraid to check it!! LOL Thank you all for your help and votes!! :-) Although I don't do facebook, a few of my friends have taken up the challenge and have been posting for votes for me, and my Mom emailed her quilt group to vote! LOL Thanks ladies!! I really appreciate all the support! I'm still keeping my fingers-crossed, but it is really stress-producing! :-o

So to keep myself busy today, hubby took me out for lunch. :-) And then I came home and sewed. I made this bag from a purchased pattern (Simplicity?) It really isn't quite this bright! ;-)I wanted a bag big enough to hold my camera and a bottle of water for my trip to Sisters, Oregon next month for the Outdoor Quilt Show (I'll be there with a group of friends on a bus trip). I think it is going to work just fine~ I tested it with the can of spray starch. LOLThen I started searching stash for something to use for the Between Charming Friends Quilt Along. I am going to use Darlene's pattern (of Quilting Daze) for the lap quilt. Thanks Darlene! :-) I decided to use my Odyssea Jelly Roll I won in a giveaway a few months back. But what to use for background? What do you think of this? I'm really not sure if I should use the dots or go with something more like a Kona solid.
Thank you again for all your votes! Please continue to spread the word! I would so love to win that GO cutter! The more I study the dies, the more I know I'd give it a good workout! I could bust stash left and right! No poems today, just gratitude. :-)

Until next time~
Happy stitchin'!

I had my husband go vote for me because I can't open Barb's blog. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you win.

Cute bag and I'm so glad you're making a larger version of Between Friends. Have fun. :-)_

I would use a solid gray! That should work better with the colour palette in this collection :)

Love that bag - you rock Sandie! And, I love the fabric you chose for the Quilt Along! I think the dots are cute - but a solid would work, too! Okay - I must read on about all this stress to see how to vote!

Cute bag! And for a quilt show road trip to boot! How fun! Sorry to hear about the stress-focus on the things you enjoy and the rest will happen with or without worry. :)

Just visiting today from the "In Stitches" blog.

Who knew that having a Halloween Hop last week would bring the chilly weather?! We had rain, wind--- the power even went out for a few hours...
