My design wall (read floor) has the Northwind top on it once again~ are you tired of it yet?
Today's choices are border options~ :-) I have a bunch of HST's the same size as the ones in the blocks, but I'm thinking that would make the border way too busy with the leaf print fabric, so I'll save those for another day. ;-) Since this is already a 72 x 90 top, I was thinking along the lines of a smaller inner gold border and then maybe a 5 inch (?) leaf border.... or are the leaves too much too? Ahhh! This is why I have so many tops without borders! :-o Please tell me your ideas!~~
1. Should I go with the more muted top (in the photo) gold?
2. The center gold that has green in it?
3. The brighter bottom gold?
Hopefully this week will be a bit on the quiet side and I will be able to get the borders on. ;-) Which would mean new project photo's next week!! :-))

Now for your border options... the one that really captures my eye is your center gold strip with a bit of greet. Your fall leaves border looks great with all of it!!! 8-)
I really like the brighter gold at the bottom! It provides a stopping point between the busy center and the busy leaf print of the border.
I like the plain gold with the leaves in the outer border. The leaves brings out the colors of your blocks
Love it!! I also like the bottom gold for the same reason, gives my eye a chnace to rest and then to see the beautiful fall fabric.
I vote for the bottom gold - it seems to be a better break between the blocks and the border. I do like the border print.

I'm also on board for the brighter gold.
I think they all look great. If the amount of yardage needed doesn't make the decision for you, I would probably go with the middle one with a bit of green in it. It makes a nicer transition to the last border.
I don't think that the leaf border is too much. I do like the gold border before the leaf fabric. I vote to go for it.
I really like the border fabric - to me, it pulls all the blks together. bottom gold for sure!!!
Love your border fabric - its perfect for that quilt.
I would go with the bright gold (the one on the bottom) - it makes me think of the afternoon fall sun on gold leaves!
