I finally finished the February BunnyHill BOM (see A Tasket A Tasket in sidebar). I'm teaching myself hand-applique with these blocks and, boy am I slow! :-)) I am hoping to see some improvement by the time December rolls around! LOL :-) If I re-did this one, I'd make the bluebird a different value, but I'm not re-doing anything! ;-) Next I'm off to prep March's block~
And the fun~ a friend on the HGTV message boards is having a pincushion swap and she wanted to see my pincushion collection. This isn't all of them, it's the ones I usually have next to my chair, in the TV room, on top of my sewing machine etc. I also have the one with the tile in the
bottom and a bag attached, but it is looking a bit full right now! LOL :-/ I never owned one of the big red tomatoes until a few years ago when I said the only pin holder I had was the magnetic cup~ then I got a few as gifts! :-)) I love them all and they all get used! :-))

Until next time~
Happy Stitchin'! :-)

note to self - never mention on the boards that I don't have... LOL :) what fun - that cardinal is especially cute! :)
your tiske a tasket is looking so nice - are these scraps or from all from the same colleciton of fabrics. They go together so nicely. You are not the only one slef teaching for that BOM, zizzybob also mentioned on her blog that she's teaching herself... and just like you - you both appear to be naturals! Love your work.
I'd love to learn how to applique but just can't make the time right now. However I am saving this BOM for one year. :) I didn't get in the needleturn appliqu session at the COF retreat - btu hoping maybe I can find the time on the side for someone to show me... we'll see.
PS - take a look at my latest post I made today :) :) :)
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
