And More Blocks! :-)

I finished my monthly goal with an extra for the Piece & Goodwill blocks. :-) I tell ya, these blocks are like chocolates or chips! Once you have made the components, they go together so fast and nice that it is hard to stop at your goal. ;-) And lately it seems like I always have a small pile of pieces from leaders/enders! :-o
Hope you are having some sewing fun!
Until next time~

A Few More Blocks~

Yesterday afternoon I finished up block 4 of the Jelly Roll Sampler Quilt Along. (see sidebar) I just couldn't decide how to place my colors, so decided the quilting will have to perk this one up. ;-) It does look good next to the other 3. ;-)And then I made my week's Dear Jane blocks. (see sidebar for link to Angela's blog) Angela chose such easy ones this week~ probably after my frustration with last weeks! :-o ~ that I decided to make an extra one. ;-) So here we have F-4 Old Windmill, M-10 Simple Simon, and I added M-12 Hopscotch. ;-)
Until next time~

Finishes~

Whoohoo! I'm humming right along this month~ hope I can keep it up!! ;-)) LOL I finished my Tagalong this morning~
It is this month's Schnibbles pattern. (see sidebar for link) I did it out of my red, white and black scraps. I made a r/w/black quilt and had a few bits and pieces left to play with. It was fun to play! This is one of those projects I almost hated to see end. ;-) I did alter the outside borders and corners a bit so I could use those little squares. ;-)) And did you notice what it is on top of?
The raggy denim/flannel graduation gift quilt is finished too. :-) You can't see it, because I covered it with my name, but I did embroider the grad's name and year in the corner block. I am really happy with how well it ragged up. :-) I hope he likes it too.

Now back to clean up my mess! :-o
Until next time~

Design Wall Monday~

On Saturday I was cutting more squares for Piece & Goodwill, and got distracted. :-o I thought I'd just cut a few more strips for these blocks and then I ended up sewing 8 more blocks! This project is kind of my 'cast off' project. When I trim up fabric I usually cut a strip off to get the edges even... after saving those for a while, and then discovering odd strips left from cutting P&G pieces, I started making these blocks. At first I only had enough pieces for a couple blocks, but after Saturday I am well on my way to another Christmas quilt. ;-) You can read more about these blocks on Stash Manicure. ;-) What I really love about these blocks (besides the fact that they are quick and use up small strips) is that there are so many different layout options! Once I get another bunch done, the fun will begin! But for now, I am going to do 3/month along with the P&G blocks and try not to be distracted. ;-) LOL

Together!

Yay! Got the raggy flannel/denim graduation quilt all together. Now I just have to clip it, wash it, and fluff it! Whoohoo! It is heavy~ it'll be very warm! Once it is washed a few times and fluffed up, it'll be really snuggly. ;-) **hmmm, I guess blogger likes it sideways! Sorry abt that! :-/
I've been working on a triangle block for DJ this afternoon~ oh Angela! What did you get me into?!! :-o Hopefully tomorrow I'll have it done... :-/ ++ hopefully! ++ ;-)

Have a good night!

Who knew that having a Halloween Hop last week would bring the chilly weather?! We had rain, wind--- the power even went out for a few hours...
