It is My Day!

 Welcome blog hoppers!

First, a special thanks to Carol @Just Let Me Quilt for organizing such a fun hop!  Gadgets~ they come in all shapes and sizes, some were made especially for sewing/quilting, and some were not. ;-) I love finding things not made for quilting, but are oh so very useful! Today I have one of each for you~

I love my Crafter's Edge Crossover 11 machine and dies.  I use it all the time! This month I made an autumn table runner with  the Equilateral Triangle die and Alphabet Dies.

Sorry for the wrinkles! :-o I am just home from a retreat and will soon be off again on another adventure! :-) (I really need to stay home and quilt!) LOL I cut up a bunch of autumn scraps and had so much fun sewing them together! I think I am going to quilt autumn leaves on it. What would you do?

Can you guess what I use my 2nd 'gadget' for?

No, it is not at the kitchen sink!!!

Need a hint? :-)

It sits right in front of my sewing machine and holds those things that I need all the time!

No more stiletto rolling away, or bobbin or anything! It is perfect! I actually have 2~ one for my sewing machine and one for my embroidery machine. They are quite inexpensive, the teal one was approx $3 at Ross. :-)

And, if you have read this far~ thank you!!~ I am going to send the teal one to one of you, just drop a comment below. :-) It won't show up right away, I had to turn on comment moderation because I was getting some spam. ;-)

I will draw sometime next week. Good luck!

And thank you for stopping by!

Enjoy the hop! Here are today's other 'hoppers'~

I just wanted to say that I love your autumn runner! Lovely colors, and the chunky letters are perfect. No need to enter my name in the drawing although I do think that's a great tip to use the sponge holder. I think I have something similar around the house that I can use for the same purpose. Thanks for the inspiration!

Your Autumn table runner if beautiful! and what a clever idea for the sponge holder. I tend to have things that like to wander off from the machine when I need them. I will have to get one of these!

I love the small tray to keep things on hand, and not on the floor! How practical! I have enjoyed the Queen of Gadgets hop and gotten lots of good ideas like this one.

I love your table runner. I think quilting with autumn leaves would be very nice. It will tie in well. I love your teal holder. I found a cosmetic holder at walmart and I love putting things in that can stand up where I can see them. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

Having a Crafters Edge cutter is one of my favorite gadgets. I love how you used it for the little Autumn quilt! So clever of you to use that sponge holder to keep your gadgets from rolling away. My shopping list just grew another item! Thank you so much for sharing your project and gadgets!

Well, if you're like me, you need that seam ripper close by! Those little trays would be handy indeed!

Sandie, I like your table runner! And what a clever gadget using the soap/sponge dish to hold your sewing tools. I bought a few of those cat food bowls at the Dollar Tree to use to hold my clips and presser feet that sit next to my machines. They are rubbery on the bottom so they don't move around. I always look at stuff wherever I go to see if it will be useful for my sewing.

PS, I was so excited about that sponge dish that I forgot about the rest of your blog, Sandie. Love seeing those CE dies used--that is a cool runner with the word "autumn" on it. Adding leaves will really make it special!
