Hi! Are you out there?
Am I just not getting comments, or doesn't it work? Please let me know! ;-)
Do you press your bindings when adding them to your quilt?
I confess I normally don't, except when I am adding the faux piping-type binding.
Then I press.
First from back to front~
And then I press the front down so I get decent corners.
Ok, they don't always turn out as pressed, but they are pretty good.
It seems like there is always one that wants to be different. ;)
Does that happen to you too?
I can't show you what I made...yet. But it is finished and ready for Spring!!
Which is tomorrow!!! :-) I am so ready!! LOL
I made a little pouch for a gift this weekend~ I love how it turned out. :-)
I hope the recipient does too! This is the Bellevue Pouch from Season one of the Minikins Bundle by Sara of Sew Sweetness.
Until next time~
Happy Stitchin'!!

The bag is adorable.
The only pressing I do with binding is to press the strip in half lengthwise before sewing it to the quilt. I've had better luck with my corners when I can make little adjustments as I'm hand sewing it. But if I were to machine stitch the binding, then pressing might be a better option.
I press my binding to fold it - but not once it is on the quilt. I haven't done one with a faux piping (yet!) love it and will try it sometime. Cute little bag. Sarah will love it. Hope you start getting your comments.
I press my bindings before I sew them to the front of the quilt. After machine stitching the raw edges to the front of the quilt I turn the quilt over and sew down the folded edge of the binding to the back with hand stitching.
I always press my bindings.
me to
I always press bindings after sewn on so it will give an even width all the way around.
I don't think I am getting comments either....or maybe my blog is not noteworthy? Love your binding. I use glue for my binding.
