Yikes!!

I truly did not mean to be gone for the month of July!! :-o
It seems like summers are just crazy here!
I have been trying to sew, garden and travel all at once!~ and not
doing a really good job at any of them! LOL

On the sewing front I am making blocks for a string block swap.
The ladies in my group each decide what colors they want their blocks and the color/size of the center strip. Then we get the list and get busy sewing each person's blocks. We make 6 per swapper.
This time I asked for red/cream striped blocks...

When I get them back in the fall I plan to cut them all in half and make these blocks~

I've been trying to keep up with the Temecula Marvelous Monday blocks and I just finished a pattern test too~ more on that when the pattern is released. ;-)

We have been traveling too!
Can you guess where?

There could be a small prize involved. LOL
Giveaway will close on the 2nd of August~ ack! Is August really that close???

Have a wonderful day whatever you are doing!
I'll be back sooner than a month!
Happy Stitchin'!!

It kinda looks like Horsetail or Bridal Veil falls on the road to Valdez, Alaska? They are beautiful!

Great quilt blocks . . . they're great for summer, picnics, 4th of July, Memorial Day . . . red, white and blue are always in style. Would make a perfect gift for one of our brave men & women that put their lives on the line for your freedom. As for your waterfall I'm not sure but I think it's Multnomah falls in Oregon State.
Have a great day and happy Quilting!

The bridge makes that Multnomah Falls near Portland. Love your string blocks.

We traveled to Oregon and Washington about 10 years ago to go to the Sisters Quilt Show. We stopped at Multnomah Falls on our way back to Seattle. They are unforgettable!

That looks like Multnomah Falls near Portland. I visited Oregon for the first time this summer and that was one of the places we stopped. It's beautiful!

Who knew that having a Halloween Hop last week would bring the chilly weather?! We had rain, wind--- the power even went out for a few hours...
