You know how much I like to embroider in the evenings~ I just can't sit still! LOL
A while back Red Thread Studio put out a call for stitchers to help them put together a United Stitches quilt top (pattern by Rosalie Quinlan)
I answered the call. :-) How could I not?! {Sorry the photo is so light, if you click on it, it should enlarge for you.} Jennifer sent me the pattern card, fabric, stabilizer, thread and return postage to do a block for their quilt, and another block, thread etc to do a block to keep for myself or swap. You could choose the block you wanted to do, or just let them send one. I like surprises, so I let them send one. I love the one they sent! It says 'happy home' :-) I am thinking about framing my block... what would you do with it?
It is hot here, and dry. Sewing has taken a back seat to keeping my flowerbeds alive. :-o And trying to think up things to cook that keep the house cool. I think my crock pot is going to need replacing after this summer! :-o
Hope you are keeping cool and having a good summer. I am off to trace my next embroidery project~ I am thinking snow! LOL
Until next time~
Happy stitchin'!

I think the block is adorable. And yes I would frame it and hang it up. So cute. I'm surprised Jennifer sent you stabilizer. Is it done on the machine? I hear you about the flowerbeds, I've been doing hand watering for my flowers this year. I've never had to do that before - but with the drought we can't water as much. I'm a little tired of it. :-) As for the crock pot, sadly I only know two recipes. We eat a lot of salads with fish or chicken.
Thanks again for helping us out at Red Thread Studio dot com!
Those are fun blocks and I do enjoy stitching while I watch tv.
With the summer heat, it is also a nice project without the weight.

These certainly do look like fun blocks, and you did get a good one. It looks very pretty.
Those are great blocks. The summertime stitching is always so enjoyable.
