Time..

Am I the only one having trouble with time management this year?  It seems like I have been doing a lot of "wheel-spinning" lately. :-/  I don't remember if I had as hard a time getting going in 2012 as I seem to be having this year.  How about you?

I am stitching at night~ this is my start on my Winter Wonderland project. I love to embroider, but it does seem like I am wading through deep snow on this one. ;-)

I've been following along with Pam Buda's Patchwork Pocket BOW and here is week two. It was a new-to-me-technique and I really enjoyed it. I love playing in scraps! LOL

I've also been organizing, or reorganizing, to find a better storage solution. I love the inspiration of looking at blogs and Pinterest and seeing how organized other quilters are~ maybe it will be me someday. ;-)

Last week I won a giveaway from Annie at Ruby Slipperz and received this book in the mail. :-) Thanks Annie!!

I love the quilt on the red chair!! I don't think I should be looking at new projects right now~ but... I am soooo tempted!! LOL  :-o

How are you doing with the new year? Sewing away? Have your plans for the year? Or having a hard time getting into it?  I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Until next time~
Happy Stitching!!

Well look at it this way...you're getting something rather than nothing done. And slow progress is still forward progress.

I've been sewing lots lately which is really strange because prior to this surge in sewing, I was getting very little done. Tomorrow I hope to post my tutorial on cathedral windows the easy way. And then I have to quilt a tablerunner for my son that he asked me to make. I figure since he asked that must mean he really wants it.

Last week I posted about looking forward to a normal week and it was anything but! Fingers crossed for this week for getting back into a routine like I was pre-holidays. You are not alone!

You sound like me, you want to do it all and we get overwhelmed, lol. I am just working on what I feel like at the moment, and hopefully get some of my UFO's done this year.

Oh, the stitchery is a time-joy piece - enjoy the journey and you will be amazed when it is done. BOM and monthly quilt alongs seem to drag if you are person who likes to go from smelling the fabric to putting the last stitch in all in one full process. I like to have a variety of projects going at the same time - enjoying them as I work them - eventually they will finish.

OMG, Sandie, I'm struggling this year, too. I'm accomplishing absolutely nothing!!!!! I keep telling myself "tomorrow is a new day and I'll..." and it doesn't happen. LOL

I started slowly this year but I will blame my work schedule on that. I make great plans every year and start out with a bang and then it starts to fizzle in spring, not that I'm not still piecing/quilting but I start too many new things and the goal list gets pushed aside. I cut back on the goals this year, but really don't know how to deal. I like to make new stuff, I'm weak and easily tempted. But always trying to keep positive. "THIS is the year I will finally get all my UFO's finished". It's a small list so I just might be right!!
Have fun-enjoy-this is the key.

I'm working on the same Winter Wonderland panel and am just about finished with it! I did the panel with the lettering first and this is my second panel. The third panel has more stitching on it I think. I want to get this project finished sometime this year, what about you? Good luck with your projects! I will blog about my goals for the year sometime around the end of January as we are out of town right now and I can feel myself getting more behinder every day!

I've been doing pretty good with some of my sewing goals. I am also going to try to get some fiber spinning done this weekend at a little retreat. =)

Who knew that having a Halloween Hop last week would bring the chilly weather?! We had rain, wind--- the power even went out for a few hours...
