..in my studio! Ok, I kinda hinted at it in my last post. :-)
It's a new embroidery/sewing machine! Oh my gosh! I am still in shock and awe! Hubby was the one who insisted I get it. :-)) This is a photo of just the machine. I have the embroidery unit in a case~ I need to take some classes to learn all about this baby! :-) I still feel like I need to be pinched! LOL
This is what I was working on when my other machine was in the shop. My 99K breezed through those seams! It is backed with flannel, no batting. Believe me, it is plenty warm because of the denim. I have been making these raggy quilts for years for 'boy' graduation gifts. I only needed to make this one this year. Good thing because my supply of denim is running out. ;-) The pattern is from an old Traditional Quiltworks magazine. (they are no longer in print).
I am off to sew! :-)
Until next time~
Happy Stitchin'!!

That is so exciting! Your hubby deserves an extra hug on that one! Have fun playing with your new addition to the family!
oh that's a lovely shiny new machine--have fun.
SEW pretty! Congrats and enjoy!!!
ooough! you lucky dog! First a long arm and now an embroidery machine. Your little sewing cottage is gonna have it ALL!!! :) I'm so happy for you.
A weekend ago I had made a pillowcase for a birthday gift, and mentioned that it would be so cute to have the little girls name embroidered on it... hubby asked if I thought I could make and sell pillowcases customized.. Yes, but not make enough to justify the cost of the machine.
There is a shop in town - if I wanted to have my kids named embroidered on I could try to find the proper placement and then have them sew it before I make the pillowcases.. ?
Oh how I wish I was your neighbor! :)
Love from Texas! ~bonnie

Ummm....would it be too forward if I asked to borrow your hubby? Just for a trip to the sewing machine store?
Your new machine looks wonderful!! I hope that you take many classes and get to try it to it's full potential. I love the denim quilt too, I have never done one in a rag style with denim. I looks great.
