Just Stitchin'

I love to have something to stitch on in the evenings. DH and I are big NBA fans, and while watching games, I stitch... unless the game gets really good! ;-)  I've been working on Little Miss Shabby's Birdie Stitches.  I used some of my vintage sheet collection for the squares around the stitching. Now I need to find something else to work on while waiting for March. ;-)

Click on it for a better view. ;-)
Hope y'all are busy stitching too!
Have a happy weekend!

Hi Sandie! I just discovered the little birdies today and have them printed off to start as soon as I can get them onto fabric LOL! I love the vintage sheet fabrics you are using! Way cool:)

I still haven't found any vintage sheets. I look in the thrift stores but all I find are cheap worn out sheets with no pattern.

Those birds look soooo happy with the sheets around them. I wasn't going to get anymore sheets for a while---until I saw one at a thrift store--and I just had to have it. Couldn't leave it there now could I?

I've been admiring the birdie stitches that are popping up all over blog land! I have not started this project yet, but hope to as soon as I finish my current embroidery quilt. Anyway, of all the blocks I've seen, I have to say that I like yours the best. The vintage sheets are absolutely perfect for these kicky little blocks. I love what you're doing!!

Who knew that having a Halloween Hop last week would bring the chilly weather?! We had rain, wind--- the power even went out for a few hours...
