CW blocks

Have you seen Barbara Brackman's new Civil War Quilts blog?  She presents a block a week along with a true story of someone who lived during the Civil War.  I wavered on doing the blocks but finally decided to go ahead. The blocks were easy and I'm glad I decided to start the journey!  The blog posts are very interesting.

Here are my first two blocks~
Catch Me If You Can and North Star. I think I'm going to try to stick with a brown & pink/ maroon theme for this year-long  BOW.
Until next time~
Happy Stitching!

your colors are great. I've been following th blog, but alas am not making the blocks--after doing the bl-a-days last year I have PLENTY.
I think you'll really enjoy a BOW. I enjoyed a block a day. Although I am glad I'm done. :)

Who knew that having a Halloween Hop last week would bring the chilly weather?! We had rain, wind--- the power even went out for a few hours...
