This morning I got to work quilting up a small 4 patch table runner I put together last week~ or has it been 2 weeks ago? :-o Anyway, I always get 'stuck' when it comes to what to quilt on it. I wanted this one to be simple, but not stitch in the ditch~ so I did diagonal lines thru the 4 patches. And after I was about half way thru 'eyeballing' how to get the line somewhat even,... LOL my eyes aren't in straight! :-)) I remembered that little thingy in the sewing machine box and tried it~ worked like a charm!! You can see it better in the photo if you click the pic and make it bigger. That didn't work so I made it bigger. ;-) It's like a little arm. Now, I hope I remember it next time!
And now for the finger-pointing!~~ :-)) It is all Jane's fault!! (and I seriously thought about calling this post 'Blame it On Jane'!!) LOL :-))) Yes, I did it, I joined the 4 Season's Quilt Block Swap that Jane talked about. :-o I know! I'm crazy!! ...but aren't the blocks cute??? :-))) There is still room to join! LOL :-))

Now I'm off to play with fabric!~
Until next time~
Happy Stitchin'!!

I haven't tried that little arm thingy on my machine yet, but I will have to remember!!! Your quilting looks great! Love the little table runner! Such pretty fabrics! 8-)
That is a cute block for swapping! Good for you! 8-)
Looks like you did a really good job sewing those straight lines!
you jus tdon't know how hard it's been for me to read your blog while I update mine and waiting for photos to load.... If I try to comment it whipes out my photo uploading...LOL
but I have to share a secret that jayardi showed us during our machine binding class that you can use too = even for hand binding...
take an Elmer's "School" glue bottle and a simple mechanical pencil and remove the orange glue tip and then break/cut/unscrew the mechanical pencil bottom and attach with tape to the top of the Elmers bottle - this will help you to get a fine line of glue coming out...
and glue the binding down in place after you have machine attached the double fold onto the quilt top! no more pins or clips... and if you have to show it in a hurry no one would know but you that it hasn't been stitched down "yet" ;) isnt' that a cool tip!?
hope it helps you out....I'm done posting now so I'm glad I remembered to click back over to you and leave that ;)
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
I forgot to say - wow what a cool swap that is that you have joined. I went to her blog... and wow she is super organized as a hostess ;) I could even learn a thing or two...
and question - did she assign colors to all 50 of you? or did it matter?
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
I am so happy to take the blame, but your blocks are really cute, I hope mine turn out as well!!!
I like your greens!
