LOL if I did that, I might actually get more blocks sewn! :-) I made another pair of blocks this morning, and then had to arrange them out again to "see"~~ at this rate, they may never get done! My friend and I are each making these blocks, and then we are going to trade our 'duplicates' so we each end up with all different blocks in our quilts. I thought the 9 inch block would be pretty easy to do, I was wrong! :-o I am having lots of trouble keeping points and getting the block to measure the right size. I haven't quite figured out where my problem is~ the stretchy bias maybe? I've resorted to starching. I am using my quarter inch foot, but something is still off just enough to make my blocks end up a little on the small side~ ??? Ah well, my own quilt may end up huge because I am not trading the wrong size blocks! ;-) Back to the sewing machine~~
On another note~ thank you for posting and welcoming me to the blog ring! This is fun! ;-)
Until next time~
Happy Stitchin'!

Wow! These blocks are going to make a really good quilt.....even if you have to keep your own blocks.
I love those blocks! You will end up with an awesome quilt, proper measures or not!!!! No one is perfect, and I bet no one will be able to tell anyway! 8-)
Those look great! I especially like the brown/gold in the bottom right corner. :)
ooough this is gonna be a scrapOHlishious quilt after you and yoru fiend get them made and swapped!!! what fun!
I "tried" to do this with my friend in GA one year.. but it fell thru - she quit quilting alltogether... :( and we never got to swap anything...
I think you proposed you and I doing this with the forum BOM for next year (I'm behind in replying ot PMs!) and I'd love to swa blocks each month with YOU but not a BOM style.. more of a same block like this one... as I love the alternative pattern it makes..
ok - maybe not this one b/c the points are driving you nuts.. but you are a good friend to swap the better of the blocks with her. :)
maybe we can do some searching and come up with somehting else to do instead? I think I read/saw some time back where Bonnie Hunter shared a "fungly" type block? but I don't recall off hand if it had a lot of HST's or not.
I do love the block you and your friend are swapping though... I've seen quilts like these and they are all beautiful and I say to myself each time- ooough, I want to make this one day/year!!!
do you mail to her? or swap in person? I'm currious. ;) Love from Texas! ~bonnie
What super blocks - Thangles might be good here as you are dealing with set nos. of HST's. Your blocks look very neat and tidy though
