What a great day! First I sewed together 3 blocks I made for a friend who is making quilts for 3 gals who lost their mother to cancer.
Than I cut out all the pieces for a dozen more paper pieced stars and sewed for a little while before family obligations took me away. ;-)
When I came back to my sewing room, I ironed... forever! I have been
collecting FQ's and stash for 2 quilts on my to-do list. It was wonderful to have this 'excuse' to get to them! First I want to make the 'Honeyberries' quilt on the cover of Evelyn Sloppy's book, 40 Fabulous Quick-Cut Quilts in blues like she did. I cut a pretty big stack and only have a few more blues to cut up. I also have wanted to make a 'Shakespeare in the Park' (Judy Martin) for ever! Evelyn at Starfishy has a gorgeous one in her header. I have all the FQ's ironed and ready to go and will cut them up tomorrow. Wow, it feels so good to have this start on these quilts. :-) Thanks Judy!!!
