In other quilty news. Neicy is doing a mini challenge on the HGTV message board. Every month she picks a pattern for us to work on. It isn't a swap, we keep our own creations. I have tried to keep up and do it every month because it's fun, and you end up with a neat little mini. ;-) It's also a great time to practice those skills that get rusty, or try different color combo's than you normally would. Work outside your comfort zone... This month's challenge was the Galaxy Star block. As you can see, I'm not quite finished but I'm close. I used the sailor's ditty about the red sky to choose my colors. I'm planning a very small bright orange border and then a larger border of the dark blue to contain everything.
That's all the news from my little corner of the universe. ;-)
